My Contribution

Creator of the original methodology Ser Irresistível, I designed and delivered the workshop by adapting theatrical training techniques to the context of scientific communication. I developed the pedagogical structure, practical exercises and training materials, and facilitated the sessions with undergraduate and graduate researchers, helping participants strengthen their presentation skills, public speaking, audience engagement and professional communication.

Project Overview

Training for Seminar Presentations is a professional development workshop designed to strengthen communication skills in academic environments. Developed for undergraduate and graduate researchers participating in the 6th EAFExp – Escola Avançada de Física Experimental, the programme addressed the challenges of presenting scientific work with clarity, confidence and audience engagement.

The workshop is based on Ser Irresistível, an original communication and performance methodology created by Marta Metzler, which integrates theatrical training with public speaking and interpersonal communication. Combining body awareness, voice, perception, interaction and presentation techniques, the workshop enables participants to communicate complex ideas with greater presence, expressiveness and impact through practical, performance-based exercises.

The workshop was offered as part of the official programme of the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (CBPF), alongside seminars and lectures dedicated to scientific communication and professional development.
