My Contribution
Designed and delivered a customised professional development programme based on the Ser Irresistível methodology, integrating attitude, presence, communication, institutional identity and audience engagement for front-of-house teams in one of Rio de Janeiro's leading theatres.
Project Overview
This professional development programme was created for the front-of-house team of Theatro NET Rio as part of a broader organisational transformation strategy led during my tenure as Operations Manager. Rather than functioning as a conventional customer service training, the programme used theatre-based practices to strengthen presence, communication, teamwork and audience engagement.
The workshop was developed through my Ser Irresistível methodology, an original training approach that combines techniques from theatre, body awareness, perception, improvisation and human interaction to enhance communication and professional presence. While the methodology provides a consistent conceptual framework, each programme is specifically designed according to the needs of the client organisation and its participants.
The training formed part of a redesigned internship programme for undergraduate theatre students working as front-of-house staff. In addition to practical exercises, participants explored the history of Theatro NET Rio and the historic Teatro Tereza Rachel, researched the productions and artists featured in the theatre's programme, and developed the confidence to act as cultural ambassadors while interacting with audiences.
The programme was complemented by monthly team-building sessions, recognition meetings and playful activities that reinforced collaboration, belonging and continuous professional development across the theatre's multidisciplinary teams.
